Established in 1895, the Venice Biennale is one of the world's most important critical forums for contemporary visual art. Thousands of the world's leading curators, collectors, gallery directors and critics attend this biennial event, which comprises more than 70 national exhibitions in 28 pavilions throughout the city. For the 2007 Venice Biennale, three Australian artists have been selected to represent Australia: Susan Norrie, Daniel von Sturmer and Callum Morton.
